Access other libraries to find items not available at Murdoch University Library.

BONUS+

Use BONUS+ to request books not available at Murdoch University Library.

How do I request a book via BONUS+?

  1. Search Findit or the Library Catalogue.
  2. If you are unable to locate the item, click  to search the BONUS+ catalogue.
  3. Select 'Request this item'.
  4. Select 'Murdoch University', enter your Murdoch login details and choose a pickup location to complete your request.

Delivery is within 4-7 working days. An email notification will be sent to you when the item is available. Check MyLibrary for the status of your request.

Loan periods and conditions

  • 21 day loan period
  • You can renew once for an additional 21 days
  • Loans may be recalled at any time by the lending library
  • 10 penalty points/day for overdue items
  • $125 fines for lost items

ArticleReach

Use ArticleReach to request journal articles that are not available from Murdoch University Library.

How do I request an article via ArticleReach?

  1. Use Findit or Databases to search for the article.
  2. If full text is not available, click ‘Request it now’ or ‘Findit@Murdoch’
  3. Click ‘Request it now’ to submit a request through ArticleReach.
  4. Enter your Murdoch login details then ‘Submit’.

Search the ArticleReach Catalogue directly to find articles outside of our collections.

Delivery is within 2-7 working days. An email notification will be sent to you when the item is available. Access your article by logging into MyLibrary.

In Person

Apply to borrow from other libraries in Australia and overseas.

University Libraries of Australia and New Zealand (ULANZ)

Apply in person for membership of any of the libraries in the ULANZ Borrowing Scheme. Bring photo ID and proof of your current Murdoch enrolment.

Other WA university libraries

Join University of WA, Curtin University, Edith Cowan University & University of Notre Dame libraries.

  1. Register online.
  2. Take your Murdoch University ID card on your first visit to complete registration.

Other libraries

To borrow from other WA libraries, present your Murdoch University ID card and proof of your current enrolment to the library you wish to borrow from.

For all other libraries, request a letter of introduction.

Document Delivery

Use Document Delivery when your item is not available via ArticleReach or BONUS+. This service is available to:

  • Murdoch University academic staff
  • Graduate research and honours students
  • other staff with their supervisor's permission.

Before placing a request

  1. Check Findit or the Library Catalogue to ensure the Library does not hold the item.
  2. For books, check BONUS+.
  3. For journal articles, check ArticleReach.
  4. For theses, check if it is available online: Finding Non-Murdoch Theses

How to place a request

If you are unable to locate the item, follow these steps below.

  1. Login to Libraries Australia and search for the item.
  2. Select ‘Get this item’.
  3. Select 'Loan' or 'Copy' and complete the form.

If you cannot find your item in Libraries Australia, submit a Request via Document Delivery.

What does it cost?

There are no charges for document delivery requests. However, theses or large requests may require payment.

How long will it take?

Delivery times depend on the nature of the item, its location and availability. Contact the Library for an update on the status of requests.

You will be notified by email when the item is available.
