Adding material to Reserve and electronic course materials (ECMS)
The Reserve and electronic course materials collection includes high use items in print and electronic formats required for units. Books on the textbook order forms and the Murdoch University booklist are automatically placed in Reserve. We will add:
- additional books
- copyright material including electronic copies of book chapters and print journal articles, and
- lecture notes if they include copyright material.
Print and electronic material previously on Reserve
If you continue to require print or electronic material that was previously on Reserve, you must advise Reserve staff each semester. All links to unit listings are removed at the end of each year and must be reactivated to appear the following year.
How to submit material
Send your request by email to reserve@murdoch.edu.au with the following details:
- Unit Code
- Unit Name
- Course Coordinator
Books
- If the books are held in the Library, provide the author, title and publication details or the permanent link for the Library Catalogue record.
- If you require a book that is not held in the Library, contact the relevant Subject Librarian to order a copy.

- You may only supply Personal copies if the library does not hold the item or does not hold enough copies. Note that the library places barcodes on personal copies.
- Please identify personal copies.
- Every care will be taken but the Library cannot be held responsible for personal copies placed on Reserve.
- Please contact your Subject Librarian if you recommend the purchase of this item.
